Shocks usually involve a struggling SL side. Warrington were top 4 & had the best defence in SL at the time.

Well done, I backed it too and only got 5/1. I remember it well. I won £48 on the Grand National and lumped it all on Rovers at 5/1.

Wire finished 6th in 2006, and had the 8th (out of 12) best defence in the comp. Apart from that, you are spot on.
And Cullen was coach.

We were full-time, Fev are part-time (according to Sky) - though they seem to have a pretty professional set-up, if you know what I mean. Different elements to it - the intense local rivalry for them, setting down a marker for us. It also put us in the semi-final. Where we got stuffed, admittedly. Both great games, and classic 'romance of the cup'.

You've taken end of season stats. Well done. Look for a table in June (when we played em).

I'm on it. I'll be amazed if they had the best defence on 4th June only to finish 8th best..............
