Anyone played Syndicate yet? If so, what do you reckon? I was a big fan of the game on the Amiga, so hoping it's transfer into the next gen consoles has gone without a hitch.

I'm playing it at the moment. My initial thoughts are that they should've shelevd this game for a while after Deus Ex: HR came out. Its not bad don't get me wrong I'm quite enjoying it. Its far more violent than DE:HR and its got a very 90s PC shooter feel to it. The story has a lot of potential but so far there's been no charachter development or back story explanation so its quite hard to care about the charachters - Dead space 1/2 apart its a theme with EA games (one of many flaws). One edge this game may have over DE is the boss fights, they're a bit more challenging (although the combat in the rest of the game is pretty easy) and varied. It seems short though I'm 3/4s through it and I've only been plaving about 5 hours.
However one thing this game does VERY well is the co-op mode. Its fun, intense and far longer than the single player. Its one of the best co-op games in a long time.
Overall I'd wait until it comes down in price, but its not bad at all just could be a lot better. 7/10 single player - 9-9.5/10 for co-op.

Not tried ME2's Shadow Broker DLC, but I've done the Batarian DLC, and the Normandy memorial site.
If you're playing as FemShep, surely an avatar change is in order?
Jumped straight into ME2 myself, the first is on XBL for £15, worth it? Wouldn't mind seeing the story kick off as the second is superb IMO...
And FIFA 12 for £50? Really? Surely can't be too long before the next one....

Ha ha, quite possibly!
Mass Effect for £15? Definitely worth it. It's quite long winded, what with having to use the Mako to traverse all the side quest planets, but once you get past all of them and focus on the priority missions, it gets good.

My XBOX 360 has overheated and whenever I go onto live it just lags out and turns off. Can anyone recommend anybody to fix it and any idea on a price? Thanks.

Just finished ME3. The ending is rubbish, but apart from that the game has other limitations. Unlike ME1 and to some extent ME2 there is no real linearity to the game, the story doesn't "unfold", you know that it's simply completing a set of tasks in pretty much any order before committing to the final battles.
Spoiler alert...
Ashley coming back doesn't work, there were obvious issues because of the choices in ME1, and the dialogue in 3 is very limited. Not great. It had good points and was enjoyable in most places, but the irritation when you realise that no matter what you do Cerberus will beat you to it is very frustrating.
As for the ending... Total nonsense and completely rushed. I see there will be an extended DLC free to add to the end but they are refusing to change what happens up to the final moment. Bio ware have f******d up majorly, it's absolute crap. But hey ho it's only a game. It was well worth the money and I enjoyed it.
