What i think rovers are on about is if its at the kc and we have sold all our tickets why not put it on in the club and gain some more money, : their is a lot of people who will not go to the kc even if it was free they can not stand hull, so i think its a good idea

Yeah.

Next it'll be, "instead of having an away support, all come to MS3CP instead and listen to the match commentary".

I thought that another reason for the derby switch was to allow 4 consecutive weeks in which the thread-bare pitch could be worked on?

Mrs Barista wrote:"The spoils" being completely reliant on FC fans turning up, if this is the case. Rovers banked the cash from home support months ago in the form of season passes, and sounds like a few of these are boycotting it. Our benefit has also already been banked in terms of Good Friday gate receipts. If FC's poor luck with injuries (think it's 12 at the moment) continues such that we are in our habitual 8th/9th place with Rovers in their predicted 4th, presumably FC fans would weigh up underwriting Hudgell's rental costs and witnessing another live flogging, with pie and peas at The Silver Cod for £10, watching it on tv with £5 going to the club.

Given how much Rovers fans put into FC's coffers each year, a conscious beggar my neighbour attitude would be unwise. But, yeah, when working out if a switch is worthwhile you'd have to be realistic about how many would turn up.

Personally, I think the idea of a paralell CP-based event that has been floated has some flaws. For me it'd be hard to see it as anything other than protest at the club 'putting profit before principle' or some such - so the justification that it might bring in a little revenue, seems somewhat disingenuous. There might be a handful for who getting to the KC is genuinely inconvenient (and in that case fair enough), but it's not exactly on the moon.

What has a dislike of Hull FC got to do with a refusal to attend a Rovers home fixture at the KC stadium? And why doesn't it seem to stop people going there when Hull are the home team and take the gate receipts?
Anybody on here who takes that stance?

Tbf, that's a reasonable enough idea. There could easily be a genuine market for that.
