It isn't nonsense imo, i dont care how good he is, which i accept is very good at the moment, but as anyone who knows will tell you, once you get past the thirty mark in such a demanding physical sport as rugby league, particulaly at this level, the body simply cant do what it did just 3 or 4 years previous and you start to pick up injuries more frequently which take longer to recover, its frustrating but thats the way it is im afraid, it happens to all of us at some time, thats why although i accept he is still a very good player my conern is we may not get value for money for him, especialy as it will take quite a slice of our salary cap over the rumoured three years he will be contracted by which time he will be 34. At the end of the day this is my opinion and would love to be proved wrong if they do decide to sign him, but i've seen many good players over the years that have had more bad days than good ones once they have past a certain age.
