During this season we'll see whether Craig Sandercock can make the successful transition from player development officer to head coach.
I think the individual improvement of many players has been massive since he came to the club yet the overall team performances have been truly erratic.
I'm not so concerned about actual structures in terms of defence & attack etc. but more the fact that the players seem incapable of following instructions.
A forum member text me at half-time to say FC had 8mins more possession in the first half and it doesn't matter how good the players and team are or what attacking or defensive structures are in place, if you concede that much possession then you have next to no chance of winning the game.
Our huge pack has become a double edged sword; if we get our fair share of possession then we can really take teams apart like Huddersfield at home but if we don't then we capitulate and far to often in the open exchanges of games when the team feel fresh, they lack respect for possession a don't build pressure whilst other teams simply play percentages until we run ourselves ragged.
The players lack of patience is really hurting them at the moment and as a result we fail to build pressure which costs us later in the game. All this talk about fitness is nonsense as far as I'm concerned - until the players have patience then these games will be re-occuring.
I'd start by dropping any player who continually concedes penalties like Watts until the players digest what the issue is.
Brains win games and until the players engage their brains then it will be same old, same old because average teams with basic tactics are turning us over because they know our players will cough up possession.
Well hello Zod, fair play and a fair post.

I hope he does. He needs to know how Edit-AS us fans are apart from you. This is a test for him, if he reads this and crys and wants to go home then bye bye, but if this makes him stronger then it's all good then. After today, Id imagine he'd know if he's up to the job or not!

If this was our second game and we lost, you'd be the same. It's cause we lot to Hull, isn't it? That's not a benchmark of success, you know? We'll not make the playoffs this year and wouldn't have with Morgan at the helm either.

Why you havnt got a bad side on paper. For your sake you've got to hope your board don't keep the faith in the coach as long as our lot did
Thank you Adam Pearson for giving the faithful hope

You sure your not an Fc fan?? I'm mayby optimistic than most but to lose to a Hull team with Radford andthe like playing. Am not asking for much, but heart, desire and effort are a pre- requisite whether your cannon fodder or not. I don't expect titles at the moment, but don't you expect more than that shower we saw this aft?? I do. What's Brian noble doing now??

Hopefully keeping away from Rovers, hate the bloke.
If your going to plough some money at a coach, McClennan. For now, trust in the board and their decision, season at least. A coach out thread 10 games in, are you sure you're not an FC fan?
