Really. Where have these 'millions' been wasted, exactly?

In Cardiff in the 80`s, Bridgend then Wrexham and still ongoing elsewhere other than the heartland of the game

quote = "Kosh" Cardiff wasn't a failure in economic terms. The RFL were actually paid to stage the first two events there.

Heres some figures for you to ponder on the raging success of the misguided magic weekends prior to this year
Millennium 6 days rugby and Murrayfield 4 days rugby joint seating capacity 718,200 less 296,981 tickets sold leaves 421,219 seats empty over the ten days of rugby. Now I ain't all that up on economics but that looks an awful lot of empty seats to me, actually rather more than was taken up. We might just, might mind you fill the Etihad on both days and then the case is answered. Unequivocally. :thumb:

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and proudly proclaiming `Wow, what a ride`

That'll be right, Chang.

You and your cronies over in the secret club are so embarrassed by the letter - it's poorly presented argument, "naive style" :D , and it's apparent grammatical error in addressing the receivers as "Gentleman" in the singular - they are condemning it as a fake. Suggested author?... A Hull FC fan.

We wont fill it. Fc sold the most at 2k tickets- if every club did this then we would be just over half full (50k capacity for football events) london/cats wont bring close to that amount.
so the panel took the same view as your excellent assessment.
Whilst it is irrelevant wheather you argee with the content of the letter or not, the RFL will be fuming. He has not done the club any favours and dare I say that the refs just might not do us any favours with decisions if the RFL have there way!!

They've obviously ignored the bloke's day job. If he had even a hint that this was a put up job, there'd be writs flying wholesale

As I said, the RFL were paid to stage the event at Cardiff. They got the stadium for free and folding cash on top.

I have no idea if Edinburgh offered anything similar but they must have had a good reason to move the event there.
