We'll get some important players back soon, but might well lose others. I'm just going to enjoy it for what it is and not worry overly - the North Stand is going up and our club-trained players are showing some good signs. The club is hopefully getting on a steadier footing (without wishing to tempt fate!), even if the team is a bit erratic.
We did lose a few wise old heads - Vella, Newton and Briscoe. Paea, Mika and McDonnell are very different types of players. And tbh, I welcome that - we were rarely spectacular under Morgan in SL. But it comes with a downside.
Jesus, a mod is around today.
As disappointing as some of our results have been, we also have to maybe gave CS and the team chance to develop. It may turn out that we don't make the top 8 this year. That said, I do think we should be more than good enough to reach the play offs.
Of course, in some quarters our progression can only be monitored against Hull FC and we have to finish above them at all costs, to satisfy these half-freps. In order to that we're gonna' have to finish 1st. Tall order
