having read the statement etc, reading between the lines it would suggest that the rfl have been bank rolling the bulls for a while(in the past)....

however it is worrying that the once mighty bulls have fallen so far with what looks like no hope of escape as they are caught in that catch 22 situation...

they got 11k fans on cut price season passes.. and as soon as they put them back up to some sort of normal price, then how many will stay away again..
they are not in the best shape to compete on the pitch and like many they need the team to be challenging to draw the fans.

if kr are not carefull we will be heading the same way as our prices get more and more expensive each year... it has already driven a chunk of our support away hence the poor attendances so far this year... Then put onto that, that you can now pay £35 to watch every game in the comfort of your own living room at your own leisure, whilst a good idea in principle it takes away the peeps that have been pushing the boundaries of affording passes to just the kr tv package a huge saving on the cost of the season pass..

Terrible situation, the future looks very bleak for Bradford.

The way that Hood has announced this and already sent out mail shots appears to only add to the feelings of mistrust.

I really hope they can survive and get through this somehow.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

We have been running at a capacity of around 8.6k of which 1.2k is the south stand we are averaging about 7.4k.
The main reason for the drop off is the fact that families cannot come with small children and sit down and actually see all the pitch anymore IMHO.
That added to one of the worst recessions since records began.

I'd think they would be alright-ish, most likely - if they can find new investment/owners. Like Wakefield, the plea for donations looks forlorn and I suspect is for form's sake, so you can tell the creditors you tried. Then it'll be admin, a 4 point deduction, and a new buyer (the sooner the better), a chunk of bad debt written off.
I can't see them avoiding that, but I'd also be surprised if it went as far as liquidation - there's still value in the brand. If they did have to start from scratch, like Crusaders, I do wonder if the RFL might look at 12 franchises next time around. 14 has been a struggle in this economic climate.

I thought it was 6 points?

Lessons to be learned, i think all clubs should try and be more honest with the fans way before they get to the unenviable position Bradford are in now.

Checking on wiki - it was 4 for WTW and the Welsh. But iirc, it has to do with how much debt has to be written off.

Subtle.

We don't need our board to be honest with our financial position, we've had your granddad, your dad, now you, then your kids and then your grand kids to keep us fully informed about our imminent demise.

Yes, for all that it invites trolling, we have to be grateful that our board are as open as they are generous. :DAISY: (Yeah, even I feel a bit queasy brown-nosing that much)
Now your lot are losing cash too, it is easier - or does it count as 'investment' these days?

Anyhow, Bradford's clear and present peril, and its implications...

We'll be right, if push comes to shove we can get the £1m loan from the Eygiptian
