I personally can't see many more high profile NRL players coming to SL after Ellis....amazing that he chose us but his return was based on family reasons ....Jennings would be a class addition at centre but why would he want to give up State of Origin? Plus the salary cap and exchange rate down there represent real obstacles. However our new regime clearly have powers of persuasion so you never know....
Was interested to read in the press this morning that Gentle has sounded out an Aussie.....mmmmm...

I appreciate that, but it is sometimes a relevant point (not that I'm saying it was in this case). What I do find strange though is his tendency to IMO take a view on a player, and then maintain that stance when commenting on various aspects of that player regardless of whether the evidence still supports that view (or ever/previously did). That’s applying exactly the same mentality as he is complaining about IMO.

Absolutely. His posts about Jason Smith confirm that point. Arguably the best player we've had since Sterling, yet Standee can't find a good word to say about him.
