Gentle said in his postmatch interview that during preseason he had been planning for Tickle to play through the middle but it became apparent to him that he was more effective on the edge. However, with the Ellis signing I would imagine now that the plan next season will be for Tickle to start in the second row but move up to prop midway through the first half when Manu comes on and a starting prop goes off.

A lot of recruitment goes on a season in advanced now so hopefully the rumours of preseason will come true . Unless I'm imaging things . weren't the rumours of us signing Ellis and Jennings for this season ! Jennings would do nicely in the centres then reckon 1 young English prop , maybe pay a fee would do nicely . That's if 1 of of omeley or Moa stay . Job done .

Seems as though Moa has made his mind up but I think o'meley will stay for one more season. Looks as though Tickle to prop will happen because him and Ellis are big minute players so it won't leave much game time for Manu which would be criminal!
Briscoe will stay thistle next season. But we really need a top attacking centre, shift Yeamo over to the right due to his defence. Hopefully sign a 6 to replace Horne but I highly doubt that we will.

I'd still like us to have a go for Paul Johnson at Wakey. Think he's OOC as well.

As for centre, wasn't there mention during the 4 nations that we might be talking to someone playing in them with a view to 2013 onwards? Thought I remembered people saying on here that Pearson said something along those lines at the Faithful 400 event or some other interview or something.

I think we're going to have to wait another season for that one.

This is without question purely a money choice as they have said on the Leeds board... But you know what... If I were a Hull fan... I'd be saying 'so what'. Rugby League... Like football these days... Is mainly about the money... At every club....so why should Hull be so different. Even in the money stakes you still have to win the race. Gareth Ellis will earn every penny on the field... No question.

I'm hugely envious of this signing... and I don't remember being this way about another club signing a player for a long time.

There won't be many fans of any other club who feel different to me.
