If we lose Manu, then I would be very disapointed. Moa - would love to keep but think his heart is set on going back down under with his Mrs Ogre - if it means keeping Moa, i would let him go
Think O'Meley and Moa will both be going with Tickle pushing up to prop.
Hopefully we manage to keep Manu as he is the key retention going into next season.

Hull FC @hullfcofficial For everyone getting hung up on cash too, I can tell you we weren't the biggest offer either. He likes the challenge and the ambition here
So we may have paid a chunk but not as much as was offered elsewhere.

As I said when the news broke that we were in for him I would be delighted if we got him and now we have I'm over the moon. What a superb signal of intent this is to sign a guy, and in fact to be able to sign a guy, of his stature. I've read the arguments about 'not being a priority position', or 'money should be spent in other areas' but I don't really understand them. I strongly suspect that Sam has already said he will be leaving end of season so if Ticks moves up to prop (and he has already proven he can be a good one) then this is effectively Sam's replacement. And what a replacement he is. I don't for one minute believe that this signing means that we will be forced to play Dewsbury reserves as the rest of the team - plenty of cap left to strengthen elsewhere. And the point is who knows what calibre of player will be available in these other positions that we so badly need ? By signing Gareth Ellis we have added a world class player to our roster and that is something to be celebrated.
Well done to Adam Pearson and everyone involved - the vision for the club is clearly being communicated and people are beginning to slowly take notice. If we are to be successful we need a strong dominant pack of forwards to take us to the next level. Gareth Ellis will enhance that already strong pack further. Onwards and upwards.

Surprised with this move for Hull, the last thing I thought you guys needed was back rowers. Still a top class signing, just hope he makes it through the NRL season unscathed.

Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

As statements of intent go they don't get much bigger than this. The fact that we can attract a world class player is a real coup for the club and shows how far the club has come in a short space of time.
I do hope this doesn't mean we will lose Manu, maybe he will come off the bench? Maybe Tickle will go to prop? Either way no doubting Ellis as a player, he was fantastic at Leeds and has won three consecutive player of the year awards at Wests so hopefully more of the same.
On the previous thread and the Leeds rumour, stand by what I was told, I didn't make it up. I got told this last week and on Sunday I got told that we had signed him and it would be announced this week. I posted both rumours on twitter but chose to believe the Leeds one. More than happy to be wrong!!
