Technically no, but I believe he was briefly at a small south Welsh church which moved north and then went bust. So the C of E gave him a special exemption.

I have a sort of soft spot for Williams. He doesn't really seem to have been a tub thumper or one for going around claiming that all Christians are being discriminated against by militant secularists etc.

I suspect that, if all believers were more like Williams, there'd be a lot less of this so-called 'militant secularism'.

In strictly CofE terms, he's actually managed an extraordinary thing in keeping the global Anglican communion together inthe face of such massive division.

I think he has proven extremely weak and is partly / largely responsible for division due to his lack of clarity.
