We all know, the amount of them that turn up depends on their league position at the time.

Monday night traffic is a nightmare from west Hull

You can carry on making up things amongst yourself as much as you want. The fact is that for anyone that has tried your "south stand" it is worth a fiver at most. The problem Hull fans have, is down to your hovel, condemned stadium that is barely fit to host professional sport.
Couple that with the pathetic pixie chairman and his moronic strategy I think you can realise what is actually the reason people choose to not go.

Look on the brightside as well, with less of us turning up to your stadium, it will give you more space to fight amongst yourselves
