Not been too sure of him in the opening matches, but thought he had a real good game last night, solid in defence and made a few breaks in attack, just a shame he had no support / nobody to play the ball to in that break in the first half.
I was absolutely disgusted with the signing of Martin pre season and questioned myself as to why I'd bought a season pass if this was the quality of player we were signing. With the exception of the Nrl he had always played for poor teams in SL and just seemed to be an overaged plodder. Watching him first hand I have to say how pleasantly surprised and pleased I am with him. His experience and defensive quality have obviously improved our right side and seen Sharp emerge this season as a good winger full of confidence. Although now lacking in pace to be able to exploit the half breaks he makes I have to say well done to Martin and give bomber and gentle the credit they deserve for having the foresight to sign this guy for the season.
maybe he can help the development of Turner from a defensive aspect. I still want to see Turner given a good go as he's only just turned 23 and has looked very tasty in attack when he's had ball in hand, he's scored 26 tries in only 49 matches in a very average team over the last 2 seasons (17 in 24 in 2011) No mean feat IMO.

He reminds me of Sid Domic, not likely to intercept and go the length of the field, but will run for 80mins and graft hard.
I think he has been a good buy so far, although to be fair McRae does have a good eye for a 'bargain' last time he was here he plucked players like Carvell, Raynor, McMenemy and Dowes from Leeds reserves or the National Leagues.

I like Martin, thought at the London game he really made the effort when moa was sent off, and took no crap from Kaufusi when things got heated, a good rugby player through and through. Can and hopefully will teach Sharp and Turner a lot.

lets hope he's ok for next week as gentle said he played the second half 'busted' and with yeaman out too we may have to do a bit of a reshuffle in the centres. wonder if young crooks will come into the frame?

Martin has been solid for us, but without been direspectful to him. I hope he isn't our right hand centre next season.
Fully agree , If Pearson really wants this club to finally wake up and reach it's potential , Then signing players like Martin will be a thing of past chairwomen..
