Also ... Leeds rumoured to want David Williams who is OOC at end of the season.. So could tie in well with Manly.

Williams is a poor winger.

Why another winger with BJB and Hall on the books?

That was kind of my point, Yeaman isn't particularly cunning but still has a challenge cup winners medal in his back pocket, GB caps and is a current England international.
I was just looking at both sides of the argument. Me saying Tom hasn't got the guile to be a top centre is countered with Yeamo's relative success in the position, with a similar skill set/playing style i.e. Brawn not brain.

Is guile still required to be a top centre or are them days gone and power and pace alone enough?

Yes , why would a young bright lad who's a good professional athlete with a decent reputation as a pro RL player want to go off to Australia , get paid for playing in nice weather , playing in that country's major sport under some of the best coaching systems and coaches in world sport? Beats me. Surely anyone would just stay in Hull wouldn't they?

Good luck to him if he goes. I'll be surprised though if it's one of those offers that can't be refused moneywise. More like he'll go as a "project" in return for a good salary but mainly the experience and the chance to prove himself. I think if he's looking for money his best bet would be onion and they'd snap him up.

Get a grip man. What does he have to prove ? Hes done it for Hull and England, you could argue that the only thing he needs to prove is he can cut it in the NRL which he could and by all acounts he wants to go to test himself unlike majority of England "superstars" who are happy to play in England for a top 4 team.

Briscoe has plenty to prove. He's done very little. No medals domestically, not won anything with England, not been top try scorer in the comp, Plays for an 'also ran' club. you are deluded. Great talent is briscoe but has plenty to do. At this moment in time he would get schooled by most of those wingers you write off! I'm off to watch 4 of em right now then watch the another 3 after the wests match.

you are also one of those who thinks Flanders is better than sinfield. Thats a joke in it's self.

Briscoe would be a big loss to us. Equally i suspect if there is little improvement in the squads performances once we get to half way point of this season he will be off come November. Can't see the point in retaining someone who doesn't want to be here.
I will also add that those questioning his talent at this stage of his career need to asses all factors. A winger invariably is very reliant on his centre partner. imo in Tom's case he is screaming out for a quality centre to take him to the next level. He won't do that with his current partner. Harsh for some Hull fans to accept but i maintain that opinion.

Sounds a bit like Garry Schofield's career at Leeds. But i bet you have him as a legend of your club. its hard to win medals with only two up for grabs and no British international team has won anything meaningful since 1972.
