Did you not buy a program on Sunday it was in Hudge's notes 1st page in.

Its mentioned in todays mail that work could begin within the next couple of weeks, lets hope so eh.

Does anyone know who the main contractor will be? Hobson & Porter?

I hope the majority of the workforce and supplies are sourced locally because we need to stimulate the local economy.

I think Hobson & Porter are the one, however as has been pointed out here and elsewhere once the project has been signed off by Rovers & the Council and the Main Contractor given the green light they have to go through the CDM and building red tape before actual work can commence. I would be suprised if anything other than a main contractor sign and some fencing went up before Easter, there will be plenty of work to be done in erecting the contractors village and other items. As far as the Golf Stand is concerned it will IMHO still ve in use until the ground clearing work starts so realistically will still be there until late April or even May.

golf stand is currently being dismantled..... seen a pic on fb... so looks like things are finally starting to move along on the north stand front...

New terracing! We'll be able to fit 3000 in there for the derby after all!

It's better than mine.

I wonder if we will now find out what the chances are that it is salvageable.
Or if we will bin it outright.
