I like the word mischief, it's quite cute. Doesn't suit Wormy at all, she's an "up to no good" kinda lady.

She doesn't care who played when and why.

Quite right, dumling, dear. I'm pleased Dobson's fit and back playing for you, for sure.

Am a little bit concerned that it may not have been all by the rule book, though. Everyone's carefully avoided the important question I asked earlier:

WormInHand wrote:I know there is a rule for injured players in the 19 being allowed to be withdrawn and replaced. What's the latest this can happen? Sandycock on Humberside stated that Dobson was only cleared to play this morning.

Now I think there's a 24 hour deadline prior to the match that such late substitutions can be made. (Could be wrong, though.)

But, if this is the case, was dispensation given to Rovers? Again. Not being mischievous, Darth, just wanting things clear, like :DAISY: .

Every team in the league, excluding Hull FC, have been granted extra dispensation to the value of a whole squad being allowed to play in any event, it has been passed by UKAD and the RFL in tandem and runs for the whole of the 2012 season.

Hmm.
Strange that you wasn't actually asking that question previously though.

Sandercock Definatly answered that question so like I said did you miss it or were you just up to mischief.

If you only knew the POWER of the dark side.

you are wrong, the rule is that a player can be replaced right up to kick off time if there is a legitimate medical reason (injury or illness) providing their is proof, a first grade ref told me that a while back. Of course it rarely happens as you have 18 players warming up before kick off's but all teams have done it at one time or another, all perfectly legally.

Why didn't we use that rule last season when Ben Fisher pulled up with an injury whilst warming up at Wire, Instead we went ahead with a sub less? We'd have taken the spoils that day too, with Fish.

Rumour had it he'd had an argument but I vaguely remember someone in the stand pointing out that Fish didn't look right whilst warming up and had a Physio with him.

It is legal, but also open to abuse and gamesmanship, so a card you should really use sparingly with the RFL, when there's something at stake. Blake Green back for Good Friday, at the last minute?

I'm still trying to work out how Smith and Cockayne avoided anything from the beak after the Bradford/Wakefield game.
