Yes. Mind ebay move at the pace of the continents separating so the auction my be over before they get to it.

Someone is running a series of auctions that contravene eBay policies. They've been running for the last few months, they'll probably still be there when eBay act.

I bought some designer clothing at auction and among the lots were three Ed Hardy hoodies. Before listing them, I checked many websites to get an idea on verification and was confident they were genuine. Within 12 hours of listing one, the auction was pulled and I had a non-compliance strike. I contacted the UK concessionaire for Ed Hardy and despite sending them hi-definition images and a copy of the auctioneer's invoice, they would not withdraw the claim, or (perhaps more importantly) tell me what to look for in order to avoid a similar incident.

E-bay is ok until something goes wrong. I sold an item valued at £160 new that was a few months old and had only been used a couple of times, it was in very good condition. The buyer paid £60 plus postage. After I sent it he sent me an e-mail saying it was not as described and he wanted his money back, preferably by direct payment to him, which I refused. He took it to e-bay and they asked me if I was willing to accept it back, I said no as it was exactly as described. Not long after, I received a post from e-bay saying they had found in his favour and had refunded his money and he was to send me the item back. I contacted them to complain about the decision and they refused to change it, so I closed my Paypal down so they could not take the money back from me.

About a week later the item came back and was NOT the one I had sent, in fact it was knackered, I complained to e-bay, who still have not responded to me andy they keep sending me demands for £70. After lots of dealings with honest sellers and buyers, I have lost faith in them and will probably not use again.

I had a similar problem with a reel I sold a couple of years ago. Sent a mint reel out, got an old knacker in return. Buyer was up by one free reel. That's why I now put hidden security marks on any item of value. I've subsequently had one try it on, when I let him know it was security marked, I never heard from him again.

Can't you compare photographs of your original and the returned items?

If you have an issue, eBay sucks. It took them some months to resolve a dispute about a £15 item in my favour, but I got a "voucher" to use on a future purchase. That was in March 2010. But every time I've tried to use it since then, I get a message asking me to be patient, as my voucher "isn't quite ready yet".

I'm not sure what they mean. I hope I don't have to wait until it's 16.
