Nothing wrong with our CEO saying "we will be top 4" it's positive thinking and letting your squad know you have faith in them, unlike saying "i'd like to be top 4" this is indeed,as you say, like saying "I want to win the lottery" but knowing it really is unlikely to happen.....cockle.
