It is a double edged sword.
In defence he will make the tackles but in offence he won't get you away from your own line.
It all depends what you want I suppose.
A player that makes 5 less tackles but makes you 60/70/80 more meters over the course of a game has to play IMHO.

Lovegrove attacks on the wing and rarely gets the ball, in attack. He moves into the middle to defend in place of Craig Hall, What's the difference between Netherton defending in the middle and not getting involved in the attack from our own line and Lovegrove defending in the middle and not getting involved in the attack from our own line?
The majority of my defence for Netherton is not his skill set or abilities but his team ethic and work rate, something that if shared by the other 12 people in the team on the pitch at the time would almost certainly make a trophy winning team. See any previous derby victories for examples.
