People like Nev and Murrell are just the players who always put in their all and while they may be weaker in area's than other squad members, their commitment cannot be questioned, When we're defending set after set on our own line, Netherton plays a big part in that whether he's involved in each tackle or not, Murrell on the other hand - "Fat, slow Murrell" who quite often gets the team spirit up with a great strong tackle on someone twice his size or a well timed 40/20 following a defensive onslaught.
Players like these are harder to replace than Ben Fisher or Clint Newton.
But to counter that point.
Players like Nev will not make you the meters to take that same pressure off that he is so good at defending.
It is a double edged sword.
In defence he will make the tackles but in offence he won't get you away from your own line.
It all depends what you want I suppose.
A player that makes 5 less tackles but makes you 60/70/80 more meters over the course of a game has to play IMHO.
