No, I agree about rushing players back. But I wouldn't hold anybody back more because it is Wire, either.
If they need rest, rest 'em, if they're fit play 'em - whether it is Warrington away or Widnes at home.

First few rounds of SL tend to be a bit topsy-turvey - I'd be surprised, but not amazed, if we beat the Wolves and then lost to the Vikings.

I don't think Sandercock will let talk of damage limitation enter this weeks preparation for the wires game.

Sandy no doubt knows the odds but he will expect the team he selects to win. Thats his mentality. IMO thats how it has to be, and bloody hell I totally agree with it.

Wats this bout murrell bin out with a knee injury to god help us if we lose anymore players it cud be disasterous

apparently scotty is out for 2 weeks but it opens the door for one of the young kids - I would defo go with Kristian Bell. The way I look at it, most ppl expect Rovers to get hammered so what is there to lose giving youth an opportunity.

But Sandy won't see it that way, he demands the best. . .and I don't think Rovers pack will turn up without giving a fight.

Pretty much every side is missing a number of players already, plenty with longer term injuries. With the speed and physicality increasing year on year it won't get any better

That's the curse of the captain job oh god this season is turning into a disaster I'm going along with sandycocks believes and all that but we gotta admit it's just not looking good at the mo, wud agree tho give the youngsters a chance otherwise it's gonna be down the route of volunteers from the crowd

Agree - cant right any game off even if it is Wire away. Got to fight for rvery single point as they will be a number of teams fightig for 7th & 8th not Catalan are back on form.

Across the competition there are a lot of players out.
And as you say, things don't look set to get any better. Hopefully, stuff like cutting interchanges will stop tired tiny halfbacks been trampled by fresh and ferocious impact forwards so much. I don't see too many other good solutions.

The franchise system was brought in to help clubs develop youngsters, so let's see who we have ready. At least if we throw a young halfback in there isn't any real pressure on him, its not a game were expected to get anything from.
