The atmosphere at craven park is pants for 80%. Of the attendees.
I can conclude from your last comment regarding the pitch, that you haven't been to the kc for a long time.

A couple of mates who are unfortunately enough to be born teh wrong side of the rivers and are rovers fans. In their opinion, its only the middle sections of your East stand that really rev things up throught the game.
The noise certainly doesn't transmit to the place it should do, ie the pitch.

1st question, apart from the river hull - which rivers do you mean?
2nd question, how do you know it doesnt transmit to the pitch? your "sources" are a couple of fans that im pretty sure arnt on the pitch and are in the said stand.
My common sense rather then "sources" says that it does transmit on the pitch as the players clap, thumbs up and the likes when we sing about a said player after a try. Yes most of the noise comes from the middle section - which is were the more "loud" people are, but what difference does that make? Prime example - im sure most of the noise at anfield comes from the KOP but so what...

all seater fish bowl, looks great, is great for football. the trouble is most new and old rl grounds give you a choice of standing or seating, obviously there are around 3500-4000 rovers fans in our east stand who like to stand. at an all seater, you have no choice, if you stand, you are bound to cheese off the person behind you.
i generally think that standing generates more atmosphere at rl grounds. singing "who are ya" and pointing is just not the same when your sat down.
as for the pitch, i saw a few city games in the rugby off season, then saw highlights from your warrington game and city's last home game, from an elevated view it looks nearly as bald as harry hill.

Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ?
