I think a cursory glance at any thread relating to SL stadiums and their relative merits will amswer that one.

There appears to be a sizeable proportion of (other teams) supporters that will not travel to HKR because of the stadium and its perceived lack of facilities.

What will happen if the FA carry out the proposed banning of clubs in the Premier League from sharing ground with other sports and city get promoted !!!!

I hope we can sort CP out as I would not like to go to the KC, but if it comes down to a choice between playing at the KC or going to Workington, Batley and Skolars then I'll
take the KC every time.

You mean the one that only Karren Brady is aware of?

We need better facilities to have a chance of becoming self-sustaining in SL. We could maybe soldier on along the path forged by Wakefield and (until recently) Salford for a couple of franchises, but that isn't ideal, for obvious reasons.

Whether, if plan A fails to materialise, that would be preferable to moving to the KC is a matter for debate.

We should probably sort out the nomenclature, just in case. I suggest -

selling our souls / pragmatic and ambitious

vs

ingrates and luddites / traditional community values

We've never had a proper argumentalist fight amongst ourselves on here, only with Hull fans. Wouldn't be much of a consolation, but you have to find your fun where you can, I guess.

i dont see a move to the kc a good one for us TBH.

i cant see most of the fans wanting it me included.

i think were all in agreement that craven park needs updating ,and we seem to have all our eggs in the erf funding basket.
if this dosnt work out the general feeling is we will have to move??

IMO we should be looking at cutting our cloth accordinly ,
i would much rather see a smaller squad so we dont need to have this 10k through the gate to see the club float on its own .
why were pushing for this extra stand,s /revenue is all well and good but if it dosnt come off ???
i would rather see us go back to nl1 and rebuild from there and work our way up.
what happens if we do get funding we do get the new corp boxes and a new stand and we still dont pull in the 10k of fans required then were do we stand???

IMHO we need to cut down on costs and get the club running somewere near sustability not just hope and pray we get the stand and get the 10k through the door.
we have a SL licence for the next few years make use of the time we have to get things in order not worry about a new stand if and when it comes.

IF HKR move to the KC im sorry but i wont be going and ive seen rovers through some tough times from the depths of the nl leagues the struggles to get this club back up has been massive and now to throw it all away and move to the KC ..

and im not an old man stuck in my ways either im 34 and have no intention of going to the KC watso ever

It'd be a hand to mouth existence in the Championship. It wouldn't so much be a case of re-building, but waiting for somebody to invest massively to rescue us - again. Tbh, it'd be better (IMO) just to accept that status, should we choose it, and make the best of it.
The time may come when costs have to be cut, but the board want to give the club every chance of being successful, rather than just surviving. We'd be mad as fans to start demanding less ambition, before it is necessary.

I can appreciate where smartmart is coming from because i am a FC fan who hates rugby at the KC! I thought that FC sold all their history and the identity of the club down the river when we moved from the boulevard, yes i know that the facilities etc are superior but does it feel like home? Absolutely not for mine. No opposition comes to the KC fearful like they did the boulevard, if anything i think most teams prefer playing there, yourselves included judging on recent results!!!! I know the boulevard was tired but i would have loved FC to have moved into the KC while the boulevard was brought up-to speed and we kept our spiritual home. And like you smartmart im not a cobweb collector but a thirty something year old fan!

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

So what was this "abuse and drivel" you apparently got from Rovers fans when you moved? Because reading the above sounds like it was drivel you must have agreed with ... Which makes you sound rather silly considering you're trying to take the moral hypocritical high ground on the issue.

Mmm more troll juice

But i'm guessing that is a regular thing for you my simple friend!!!! :BEAT:
