Now I've recovered from the weekend (not just the defeat but I started drinking at 8 in the morning on Saturday and didn't make it home till 10pm so it'd been a lengthy recovery period) a London Wire Supporters club sounds like the sort of thing I'll need to get me through another season. And as the name goes, that one sounds good Yed, want to get it put on a t-shirt?
I'm in London for this year and would love to be able to watch the matches. I think the first Warrington match is on the Sat 18th of Feb. So could I join in if you are still up for it.
Just adding my name to the list. Not sure how many times I'll get out to Chiswick (I live in East Dulwich so Chiswick's a bugger to get to and from) but a meeting point is a great idea so I'll keep an eye on this thread.
(Although if something more central is possible then I'm sure more people would make it along...)
Did a pub ever get sorted? I moved to Chiswick last year (near Gunnersbury station about 5 mins from Connolly's) and would be interesting in meeting fellow wires in London for matches. If I'm not mistaken, 18th Feb seems to be the first Sky match, is there any plan to meet up for that?

Brendan at Connollys is more than happy to host a Supporters Club. It has 5 screens and 2 sky boxes. As long as it isn't a big 6 nations or football game should be fine. it's 5 mins from Gunbersbury Overground/ tube & 2 mins from Chiswick Park tube. N9 night bus serves it too.
We could do with a decent amount of us turning up and maybe discussing ideas for a supporters club, i live in Barnet so it's a trek but i'm well up for it, we could even organise the odd trip for home games, car share/mini bus.
Well I for one am up for it. This Friday is Saints v Salford (not a classic) but we could meet up then and try to organise things. I would suggest if we are thinking of making Connelly's our home we meet up there. If that's not good for everyone, I work in central London though so pretty much anywhere is good for me. I'm new to this forum thing but Yed seems to be a organiser sort of person, are you happy to try and organise us rabble? Is there someway I can message you my details without posting them as I am happy to help?
