Good little quiz. Struggled on 8 & 10 other then that I'm sure I got the rest correct.

Strictly speaking it was a league match because the Premiership started in mini-league formats with us paired with Hull, Fev and York i think. Played each other home and away.

Didnt Stewart come from Newcastle?

Thats right it was an extended version of the Premiership play offs which became the Northern Rail etc.

The league campaign finished in late July early August if memory serves.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...

Doesnt fcs league campaign finish late july every year ?

Home League games were played at Boothferry several years in a row in the '50s. Discontinued due to the Football League adopting new regulations.

To save me digging out the DVD, who did win MOM vs Widnes in the NL GF?
