Made a fantastic cassoulet for Sunday dinner, laden with protein, calories and fat. The belly pork was so tender, it rippled with sweet tasty fat, even my two picky nieces purred with pleasure as they devoured each mouthful. The duck legs were coated in a crispy layer of skin hiding gorgeous chunks of duck flesh. I had chopped up some chorizo sausage to give it a bit more depth of flavour, used homemade chicken stock from the carcass of the saturday lunch chicken. Thinking of finishing it off for a late breakfast or may wait till lunch with a small green salad.
Interesting study on tasting fat.

Here is a breakfast that a fishing buddy found served at a cafe in Great Yarmouth. It's known as "The Kid's Breakfast" because it weighs the same as a small child - around 10lbs. It costs £15 (bargain) and if you can eat it all within 60 minutes, you get it for free.

I see the Coke isn't diet

It would probably take me the best part of a week and I'd seriously need a colonic lavage afterwards

If it weren't that I don't like black pudding and there's a bit too much toast I'd probably manage it if I was hungry! Titan would do it - he managed 15 platefuls of curry once in an all you could eat buffet.

I don't know how anyone could even get through a quarter of that. I couldn't even manage a quarter of a quarter of that.

I assume that's the place that was in the 'papers a month or too back - when a bloke finally managed to complete it. Took him quite a long time as I recall. Not like my 5 minutes at Fatty Arbuckles (with 2 pints thrown in)!

I assume that was timed from when your food finally arrived in front of you. Fatty Arbuckle's always operated a "seven minute rule".

You walk through the door and they sit you at a table, drop the menus in front of you and disappear for seven minutes. They then reappear and take your order. Seven minutes later, your drinks arrive, seven minutes after that your food arrives. Seven minutes after the last plate is dropped onto the table, they hover at your shoulder, just waiting for you to place your knife & fork together on your plate, so that they can whisk it away. Seven minutes later, your bill arrives and seven minutes after that they start nudging into your chair, just to let you know that your 49 minutes of fame is at an end

Been doing the rounds on Facebook has that pic. A breakfast so ridiculous even Adam Richman of Man vs Food fame has wanted nothing to do with it!
