Well here’s how you can help Boris: You could withdraw these companies right to decide who they employ and get the job centre to find them a near suitable candidate who’s long term unemployed. It will then be that employers responsibility to make it work because for far too long it has been beneath them to give anyone a chance who does not fit in with they ideological idea for a candidate.
When Damo writes total rubbish like this then it'll get treated with the stupidity it deserves. If I create a position in my company then I reserve the right to employ someone who I believe will be the best person for that position, not be told you will employ who the job centre decides and if it doesn't work out then it's my fault. Sorry Damo but with an attitude like that then you deserve everything you get.

Or it could be you and your fellow wasters don't have a clue.
Care to expand on that?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen you ever explain anything on here. This is probably because you’d be unable to defend your points if you ever went into detail about anything. Go on shock us all.

At the same time, do you care to explain why you believe an employer should not have the right to choose their own staff, and instead have random idiots foisted on them by the local job centre, and when, a few weeks down the line, things go awry, the employer should be held responsible for the employee's failings?
And so you aim towards the sky, And you'll rise high today, Fly away, Far away, Far from pain....

Are you serious? Most ridiculous thing I have heard on here (and that's saying something).
Damo-Leeds wrote:No I’m not been completely serious. All I’m doing is giving Boris Johnson’s opinion a taste of it’s own medicine. Companies should have the right to choose who they employ as the unemployed should have the right to choose who they get employed by. Freedom of choice is something I value dearly.

People do have a life outside of the internet mate.

I've nothing to defend, and I certainly wouldn't go into detail with you.
I've interviewed timewasters such as yourself many, many times, most couldn't be arsed to get out of bed to come to work never mind do anything when they got there. They wanted to run the place before they knew the first thing about the business.
I can accept that Damo.....However, do you really believe the taxpayer should have to look after you, whilst you wait for your perfect job to drop in your lap??

24954 posts you’ve done on here over the years. I’m sure if I wanted to I could find out how many hours you’ve spent browsing the forums. On top of all that you’ve been a pretty active moderator. Yes people do have a life outside of the internet but don’t try use that excuse as the reason why you can’t ever expand on what you write in detail. Because clearly you’ve had plenty of time to do so.

I’m fine with you not defending yourself and I’m fine with you not wanting to go into detail about things. But the longer you insist on not going into detail, the more it confirms that your using it as an excuse to cover up what a nasty excuse of an individual you are. Explaining yourself to me is probably below you anyway.
If I knew I had an interview with yourself I simply wouldn’t turn up either. You come across as the worse type of manager - a jobs worth (your a jobs worth in your role as a moderator on here as well). My uncle is a managing director for a major super market chain and all his kids (my cousins) got jobs on the back of who they know.
My neighbours got a job in a different supermarket for very similar reasons. One of them has dropped out of college (are college drop outs lazy?) but he’s still working and he probably will continue to do so. So this completely blows out your time wasting theory to the gutter.
You’re an individual with a big chip on his shoulder about several things in the world. It appears that you’d rather belittle people in sorry situations than help them. Shame on you and thank goodness society is slowly moving away from the likes of you.

You can start with explaining away the hours you choose to spend on here as oppose to living that life outside the internet that you claim to have. Once you've done that we can move on to the more juicy details about your working life.
