Few points;
Saw Sam Tomkins, Asked for my lighter back, He's a nice lad actually, didn't have my lighter though.
It was good to see the defensive line moving up rather than stood square, waiting.
A few good set-plays appeared and nearly came off a few times.
Welham commented pre-kickoff about how much harder training was, "No disrespect to Morgs, but..." were his words.
Wigan were great at covering up the ball in the tackle, or we were poor at getting an arm free. We did seem to be trying more, though.
Mickey Paea doesn't take a backward step, great to watch him, I think he left everything on the field.
Clinton was a different player.

Good turnout from the Wigan 'lot' for a friendly at the end of a frosty M62.
Good to be back, UTR.
This was the main difference for me, line speed was a lot quicker, they held their postions well & didn't get sucked in from the wings, which they did a lot last season.
I also liked the fact that they were looking to offload in the tackle, it didn't always come off but at least the options were there.
I know it's early days, but things look promising.
Sam Tomkins tweeted that he went to a pub close to the ground yesterday. Can only be Crown?
