But the thread has an actual point worth debating and I'm not sure people want to log on and read posts that are simply directed towards him which he is not responding to.

I don't see how training in nice weather can be construed as disadvantageous, unless it's too hot. As a minimum you avoid the disruption of training sessions being cancelled due to bad weather. Sounds like FC are using the week to focus on structures, but not to do any contact work.

Sandercock commented early on about the brevity of the SL off-season and how, compared to the NRL, it was tough to squeeze everything in that he wanted to do.
I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall Gentle mentioning the issue in passing in a HDM article about something else.

My guess is that coaches will value it, as a chance to get the groups to really focus. Plus the weather - though this year hasn't been as bad as last.

Feels like forever to me - will be pretty much 5 months without a ball being kicked in anger.
