A couple of roof slates off've a neighbours roof managed to land on my car during last nights bad weather. The damage isn't too major but its a bit of a pain. I just wondered if I should expect to shell out myself, or had a leg to stand on sending somebody a bill, as I'm sure someone on here will have some idea..

where there's blame there's a claim........................................
sorry mate, it was the weather, no ones fault. that's life, a pain, but there you go, just one of those things. if your tiles hit someone s car would you expect to pay out?? i know i wouldnt.

Dont really agree.
He can claim for storm damage on his house insurance and include damage to your car. if he is friendly Alternatively you can pay to get it fixed claiming on your house insurance / car insurance and then make a claim against him.

"Fault" is not the issue. Otherwise no-one could claim for being flooded out either. You can get health insurance ... where is the fault in getting ill?
Freedom without Socialism is privilege and injustice. Socialism without freedom is slavery and brutality.
