Waites and Hankey were never going to be in the Premier League. And in all fairness how could they be merited to be in? Both have yet to become professionals, let alone established professionals. There's no guarantee they'll come over anyway, one sort of feels Waites has had his best chance to come over after his Grand Slam win.

The main disappointment with me re: the Premier League is the lack of Paul Nicholson.

Anyone got any tips for the BDO World Championships? Need to get a bet on it to get me interested!

Why do you think Lewis is a tool? He is a good player,and gets on with the job.If you want an utter tool look no further than Nicholson.

Lewis is a tool. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. If you ask Phil Taylor 'how many more world titles can you win' he would say that who knows, anything can happen and if he plays well, maybe a couple more. When Lewis was asked, he instantly said '10'. That figure will not happen, of that I am certain. There is no doubt Lewis is a great player, possibly the best in the world at the minute, but his attitude just strikes me as a bit iffy. Paul Nicholson is merely playing an act.

For me, you can't look any further than Dean Winstanley.

@AaronBull
Same tbh mate. Odds are crap look, I'm looking for an outside. At the minute I'm edged towards either Robbie Green or Martin Phillips.

The object of a "wildcard" is lost on you isn't it?

Both players would be capable of beating Painter/Barney, I'd put good money on that too. Painter was thrashed by Part who has had a brilliant year all round. Painter flukes 1 tournament and he's considered the nuts.

Ironic you mention Nicholson, who got absolutely murdered by a player who before this tournament didn't even call himself a professional in Nicholson's biggest game of the year.

Jan Dekker at 40/1 is a cracking bet, best young player in the world (either code), semi finalist last year and did ok at the Grand Slam, full of potential and this could be his year.

Thanks. Got the bet on him! Just looked at his draw too, and it doesn't look too bad!
