Anyone have much experience with trading in games or just selling them in general. I think it's time for a clean out as I have loads of games just sitting there never being played. I've had some friends just bring bag fulls down to game and sell them but I'd assume this isn't the best way to do it as they seem to promote trading in for instore credit which I wouldn't really want. So anyone have any advice for the best way to get a fair amount for games?

I generally use eBay unless there is another game I want, in which case I trade it in.

You won't get a fair price from any shops unless they are new releases. I had a look at what I could get for a load of 360 & PS3 games about 6 months back and just didn't think it was worth it, games like Fable II, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Bioshock, Forza 3, Gears 2 etc - all of which I had a ton of fun with and paid full price for were only valued at £1-£2.
Last time I had a big clear out was when the PS2 came out. I took a huge sack of PS1 and Gameboy games and sold them all for about 50-75p each, I ended up regretting it and buying all the best ones back a few years later for about £5 each off ebay.

It depends. If your looking to get another game anyway then CEX is always worth a look. They tell you online what you can get for your games either cash or as instore credit. If its a new game then you'll get a decentish price... but if its an older game that is quite common you'll get a few quid tops, although I use ebay aswell and the same applies there really. I always look at completed listings on ebay before putting games on there to see if its worth it or something that is selling easily.

Always check CeX before selling a game. Gamestation will price match with CeX (providing you take proof - mobile phone internet or screen print). I think they're supposed to beat it by a £1, which isn't always the case - in my experience. This applies to cash or credit.

Just finished it yesterday myself, enjoyed it but not near as much as I enjoyed my first playthroughs of the first 2. Back on Skyward Sword now, think that will be finished within the next couple of days.

still hate fifa 12. either im crap at it, or it is an absolute git of a game. so hard to break defences down, even crap teams. can never get enough space to get a decent shot away, and, no matter where i aim, keepers always gather one on ones unless i have enough space behind him for the lob. professional is awful.
