I have no idea about the Withers situation but seem to recall that last year Leeds had to wait ages for a player they signed from Crusaders to get his visa renewed.

So it doesn't necessarily follow that Withers could not have visa problems simply because he played in Super League last season.

I did find it strange that he was not given the No. 9 shirt - maybe this is the reason. I also thought it slightly odd that Rovers needed to sign a third hooker in Keal Carlisle.

Hopefully there's nothing to this story because it would be more of a blow than O'Hara who can be covered much more easily.

Hodgson & Carlisle would have to reach heights they haven't done before otherwise Rovers would look weak in this position without Withers.

And to be fair, Withers is not that great anyway, wooden spoonist and all. Thought Hodgson was your number one next season anyway, and I hope so, even though I would be gutted by it.

Rovers have more than sufficient cover for O'Hara, who seems to have suffered a stinger and aggravated an old injury, in Wheeldon and Watts (with Clinton/Paea the other pairing), with the fall back of Netherton and Beaumont.
