This is what it says............ Dons seeking a helping hand The Dons have launched their Squadbuilder financial scheme in a bid to attract more investment. Supporters and local businesses are being encouraged to sign up and help the club to secure new signings. Last week the Dons revealed plans to sign former Super League star Paul Cooke - but they require more funds to complete the deal. Forms can be downloaded at blah blah blah... More information can be obtained by contacting blah blah blah.......
More a report than a new direct appeal. As for the amount raised and the resultant shortfall, you've more chance of getting information out of a freemason.

how about if we ask Jackie or Carl or John or someone involved very politely via this forum to inform us of the current situation ? I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem

As soon there is an update I know DonsNews will post updates.
Having supported the club for so long (nearly 30 years now), and experienced the ups and downs, the false promises and failures, I do think this regime is a period of sense and rationality. And long may that reign. That is why it is infuriating me to see some of the comments on this thread about the club.
This is not the Dons circa 1986. This is not the Dons of the 90's. This is the Dons of the 10's.
On this forum supporters asked for more communication. The club responded and appointed someone to do the job on a part time basis. He has done an amazing job in a very short space of time. Yet this is not enough for some "supporters".
All last season, myself included, there was a general consensus that we needed an experienced half back. The club have acted and asked for supporter help. At the open meeting the club said that a decision would be made in early January and the supporters would be given updates.
The meeting was held last Tuesday. For Christs sake please give them a chance. If we won the Superleague league leaders shield, and trophy, Challenge Cup and World Cup Challenge all in one season I still think some "supporters" would moan.
