What Widnes achieve next year is of little relevance. They will be happy to get through the season and to win a reasonable number of matches. Their target is a three year one to ensure another license at the end of it.
Season 1 see who cuts it and who doesn't Season 2 replace deadwood with better players Season 3 remove longer contracted deadwood and replace, hone skills of SL standard players.
2012 is basically Widnes getting 12 inched week in week out.
