I feel it would be good if we had a chant for tomorrows gathering! In fact, it doesn't have to be just one, it could be a couple. We need to keep them simple of course, so everyone can pick up on them quickly.

I feel it needs to be about jobs, growth, sport and this being 'our' city. I think it should avoid being too Wakefield Trinity orientated but equally, there is nothing wrong with a few actual Wakefield Trinity chants being thrown in there as well.

So, thinking caps on and see you all tomorrow at Wakefield Town Hall, 9am. The weather is supposed to be sunny but cold, so wrap up warm and lets show the inspector how much this mean to our City!

Change is inevitable

How about:
What do we want? A modern sports stadia and sporting facilities for the district of wakefieild suitable for the 21st century, a chance of some employment and economic re-growth, common sense to prevail, not being under the thumb of our greedy neighbour Leeds who want all the development for themselves, and a lasting legacy for all the people of wakefield for years to come.
When do we want it? Now!!!!

Don't forget to mention the NIMBY's in there as well.

WAKEFIELD TRINITY - The PRIDE of Sporting Wakefield

THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS

Jobs for us,
Sport for all,
Wakey Council passed it all,
When a fat man with a plan,
Went and dropped a ball,
Leeds council should feck off home.

To the tune of Knick Knack Paddy Whack

Sport for all!
LCC can't have it all!
(repeat)

Once a Sandal Wild Cat always a Sandal Wild Cat.

Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds
Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these
Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree
The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity!

Bring back the British Coal shirts for 2012

Come home Steve Georgallis & Nigel Wright
