I wouldn't suggest for a second that nuffy like you have any bearing on anything. Just as I wouldn't believe for a moment that you wish a new club any success at all. Especially as success would mean doing better than your club. And a club from more than 500m from the M62 doing that is just not on.

Am I remembering this wrong, but wasn't there a lower division Northampton Knights about 12 years ago? Did they never join the old 3rd Division, or play in the A team league with Hemel? Or have I just had a memory implant from TotalRecall???

Yes, there was an NCL Northampton Knights, mid 90s I think. We took their name for our junior section (Adults being orignally named Casuals after the union club we partnered with, then Demons as we created our separate identity) and a player from those days, Mick Bryant, was our captain in the first year of the new Northampton Rugby League club.
