I'm looking forward to attending as an away supporter next season.

So am I. The finest McDonalds in the North West without doubt. I must have been about 10 times last season and everytime the quarter pounder was just perfect and fresh off the rack. The fries were also perfect.

Without any marketing to be seen at all It would appear that the Salford board are expecting 12,000 just just turn up via the powers of ESP!

Personally I reckon we may be lucky to nudge 7,000 for the first game followed by going back to 4-5000 after losing the first couple of games!

They are expecting 12,000 to turn up? Have they said this publicly? One would assume that if they have they have based it on season ticket sales so far?

It would be fantastic for SL if Salford were capable of 10k crowds.

This is why a draft pick is essential in SL, so that the viscious circle created by the big clubs having all the junior talent is stopped.

What is causing the increased optimism at Wakefield? I thought it was still all doom and gloom over there with all the pretending and lies over a new stadium.

Why put a negative spin on good news? It's just a cheap shot for no reason.

No matter what the amount before was, 300%+ is outstanding work by a new board.
The new stadium is very much in the public environment now so there is no need to accuse anyone of lieing. The evidence is there to be seen. Everybody will know whether we move forward at each stage....so why not try and find out rather than just "you thought".

And the optimism is real and a direct response to a new board, who have bought a pretty good team, and impressed supporters with their improved management of the club.

Good news for Huddersfield that, many have knocked the gates for years but to get 7,000 sold is a good effort. Just need to work on that away following now.

Love a brew.

Yep, we'll get a good crowd for the first game on sky against Cas. We might even hit 10k, but then in true Salford fashion we'll get hammered and the core 3000 will be left as usual.

on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr

Hmm not sure for Wigan. Seems we have a lot more games on Sundays at the start of the season due to the football.

Yeah, I apologise for that. I may have confused you with Castleford and the endless promises and delays.

I genuinely hope Wakefield do kick on, the stronger the better.
