Just a thought. Why is this news not plastered all over the Rovers website?

Some clubs will use it, but FC will still get the south stand at £50 a pop

Great news for you guys.

Any investment in RL has to welcomed and applauded, especially in the current financial climate.

Reckon they will do some sort of deal like buy tickets for the KC game and get the CP one for a fiver.

I'm sure you are right, given your track record this must be almost certain to happen. however, even at a fiver, I guess you still wouldn't come.

Anyone hear Colin Hutton on RH tonight refer to 'MRS Craven Park'? Priceless! The sponsors will be pulling their hair out

As far as I know (via email from Mike Smith) the trigger for reshaping and developing MS3CP is the securing of funding for the North Stand. This has now happened which in turn means the golf stand will be moved to the south end of the ground with the Big Screen mounted behind it (on the old terracing). It also means the East stand will be extended.
Come the start of 2013 season MS3CP will be transformed into a stadium that ought to have been built way back when Rovers moved away from Holderness Road. Better late than never eh!

What?

How did you illicit a response form The High Priest Smith?

How many years did he take to respond?

Did you have to torture him?

Can't knock that, £7.50 for 2 games of world cup rugby.

In all truth, I'd be disappointed to see the new North Stand house away fans.

I don't see why we'd want them/you in what will be our best stand in terms of facilities, when we potentially could fill this with home supporters. Good seating @ CP is fairly limited and I'd like to think the demand from home fans would be enough to fill the stand. The new stand will also allow us to try and attract a new corporate cliental and encourage more families to our games and, I think, this would work best with just home fans. Why would we want them mixing with 200 gobby Salford fans or 1000 flag waving (+ odd flare) Wigan fans? Sometimes that’s not the image you want.

With the away fans moving with the Golf Stand this/next season, I hope we keep them there. All the facilities will be there - all what ideally is needed for the long term is a roof. I'd also offer the south side of the well as a standing alternative to those who may stretch the 1272 Golf Stand capacity.

Just my opinion like – no idea what Rovers intend.

World Cup - Excellent news. A PNG game would be nice ... Samoa/Tonga/Figi game would be good also. Hopefully whatever game it is, it'll be reasonably well supported by all in Hull and the local area.
