By often you mean they've won there first game of the season for at least the last 5 years?

More like this:
http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/rugby_league/s/1461236_leeds-coach-faced-calls-for-sack-after-11-league-defeats
"McDermott, who copped heavy flack at the start of the season and survived calls for his head, earned his stripes with a glorious win."

2010, lost 2 of the first 3 fixtures, the first one being against Crusaders:
Round 2 Leeds 10 v 24 Castleford
Round 3 Wakefield 28 v 18 Leeds
Average 8th over first 12 rounds

But apart from that, you're right. They do always start brilliantly.

You said its a bonus rovers are playing them first. When they haven't lost the first game of a season for at least the last 5 seasons

I said before the fixtures came out that I hoped FC would get Leeds away. I said Leeds often start the season slowly as evidenced by McDermott being favourite to be first to be sacked early doors and losing 2 of their first three games in 2010.

In 2010 and 2011 they lost their first home games at Headingley. Good omens there for you. Hard luck, cockle.

They're not at a neutral venue, though. Luckily for you.

Au contraire. Leeds Rhinos have failed to win their Headingley opener since 2009. You need some new red Timmy Mallett style glasses, cockle, then your vision will match your hearing.

As for the fixtures - June looks a bit tricky. Fortunately for you it's practically book-ended by 2 derbies. Phew.
