If anyone missed it last night, I can recommend watching Ian Hislop's "When Bankers Were Good" on BBC iPlayer

John Harris putting in yet another good article. He's been very instrumental in getting the Guardian to expose this scam that's going on right now.

Yes. They are all about income inequality. Not about how incomes for all but the very top have fallen against the rising cost of living over the last 30 years. These are two completely different things and the latter intrigues me, hence why I asked for more information on where this particular statistic comes from.

Irony overload! Irony overload.

Do you remember those bananas, Sal – the one you thought I wanted you to stop buying because you're not capable of reading and comprehending a post properly?

Do you remember the expenses that you insisted all those carers etc were getting?

Do you remember all those times you've been shown, by various posters, to be incapable of comprehension – or just in possession of things that weren't facts – but then mysteriously failed to acknowledge?

Why is it that reactionaries are so often barely literate? Is it just an indication of how things are in the 'real world'?

The rising cost of living has been greater than the rate of rising pay for all by a tiny number.

A quick search under 'falling wages UK' reveals all these links.

They all appear to be referring to the short term and as we are in the middle of a recession it's hardly surprising. The claim was that over the last 30 years income has fallen against the cost of living.

If that's down to the recession alone, then why isn't it impacting on those at the very top too?

I have access to Google – here's another search: 'falling Uk wages 30 years'. There's plenty.
