The squatting that is soon to be made a criminal act?

This is how the evil bastads work, it's little different to stockpiling coal and then forcing a confrontation with the NUM

That link leads to a thread about phone hacking Coddy, unless I am mistaken, or you change it.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

Yes. A neighbour of my parents (A Doctor who lives in another county) owns a two up, two down property. He bought 8 years ago and its never been occupied. Squatters (i use the term loosly, more like junkies) moved in, it took the Council months to get them out. The Landlord has been issued twice with a bill from the Council about clearing up the front garden and back yard. The wall to the back yard has tumbled down and he refuses to rebuild it. All of the streets unwanted bulky items end up in the yard along with needles, other parafinalia and bodily fluids. The Landlord still refused to do anything about it. He's had offers from another landlord who owns a few hours down the terrace but the asking price was ridiculous. When the Council sent him a letter regarding compulsory purchase he then put the property up for auction. It sold yesterday for 50% less than what he offered the neighbouring landlord :D

I'm fairly sure that the RPI (or even CPI) cost of living hasn't risen 4,899% in 30 years. Nor has the AEI.

That's very nice for him, I'm sure. But I'm more interested in "everyone apart from those at the very top, [who] have seen their incomes fall against the rising cost of living over the last 30 years" and the evidence that backs this claim up. I'm not bothered about those at the very top, they generally do a decent job of looking after themselves, I'm more interested in everyone else.

Have you read the links or did you see the quote and article from the FT (hardly some bastion of lefty thinking)?

Plus the other quote I posted?

"You are working for Satan." Kirkstaller

"Dare to know!" Immanuel Kant

"Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive" Elbert Hubbard

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Oscar Wilde

The Voluptuous Manifesto – thoughts on all sorts of stuff.

Bit like you really - your inability to comprehend what is happening here is not a shock to me and I suspect not a shock to anyone else except your mates Tb and Mintball. The fact you support Mintball's barmy view says much - but then when you have your own fiefdom!!

More lefty clap trap - the boss of Barclays gets paid what the market determines he is worth - do you honestly think Barclays pay 2m more than they have to secure his services. I know you think any man and his dog could do this job but you are wrong - there are few people who could run an organisation that size and complexity. His pay is in line with many CEO's of similar sized businesses. Compared to some of the salaries in similar companies in other countries his pay is modest. Compared to top soccer players - let's not go there, this is simple supply and demand economics.

Have Barclays profits risen in 30 years, have their share values risen, have the dividends risen has their liquidity risen etc this is how you measure his productivity - it is about making the correct decisions.
