Hindpool and Haresfinch were given 18-0 wins as Langworthy and Orrell failed to raise sides. Think this shows that teams should have been allowed a free week if they wanted. Wonder if the powers that be will take any notice in future. At the end of the day we would all rather play the games than have the points awarded especially when it can be easily avoided.

Mickpip, its a fair point, but to answer your question, the core of our A-team is mostly full of ex 1st team players who dont want to / cant travel due to family committments, or just winding down their careers.. and also any current 1st team players that cant travel that weekend (in general)... and as we have highlighted in previous posts, its expensive enough to have one team travelling!
Well done to Higgy, Dalton are one of our main local rivals, so good to see them get a beating from a team in our league... shows how tough our league is when bottom of the league can do that!
On a different note, Ulverston were a class act yesterday.. since being side lined from an operation its the first game that i've watched that I wasn't frustrated about at any point!

Some good games again this week. Yours against Heysham looks set to be a cracker and Irlam Vs Spring View should be aswell. Will be interesting to see this new look Higginshaw side.

I actually wrote this in my last post but deleted it because I didnt want to look like I was making excuses for if we lost. I know the Dalton lads are pretty unhappy about what happened. Will these ringers be playing on Saturday or have they been signed on properly now.
