Brown and Brough ar a natural 6 & 7 against Chase and Sinfield who did not gel at all, I am not saying Brown & Brough are the answer what they bring is balance and a good kicking game releasing Sinfield to his LF role. It is the style that we need to adopt if you can name me a good English/GB half back pairing that can do the unexpected and have a kicking game please enlighten me. As always we try to play the Aussies at their game and contain them with one up rugby we need to play our game and as such we need creative clever halfbacks, Chase is a bit of a maverick and Sinfield is a loose forward we would have been better with Mcquire and Burrow in that respect. As we do not have a series planned for next year we should be looking for the young halfback pairing that will take us into the 2013 world cup and retire all the old guard they have had their day now we need to build for the future and I am afraid the likes of Chase and Sinfield in the halfs are not the way forward.

Sinfield wasn't the problem, playing Chase at 7 was.

I agree Sinfield was not the main problem, if he was at loose he would have played his natural game, Chase is an standoff who does things his way as such we lost our controlling playmakers square pegs a round holes you know. We need every one in their natural positions and all playing to their full potential to beat the Aussies and as many pivots with a kicking game as we can get.

He played a full season at 6 for the Sl champions.

Sinfield can't play 13 at international level, the other forwards can't carry him.

What we need is a top class 7.
