Rugby League is a way of life to the Aussies. But for the ref in the 1st half the Aussies would have scored 50 points or more. The England team would finish in the bottom half of the NRL. Sinfield is a fantastic player but he is a loose forward yet I see him playing No: 6 and feeding the scrum into the loose forwards feet. We play NZ and Aussie players in the England team. We have a coach who hasn't coached a top team. That is cr4p. SL and the idiots running this game are killing the game. It will be dead in 10 years time as players leave for the NRL and Union. When there are 20 English players playing in the NRL we may have a glimmer of hope but until then we need to bring P&R back and to raise the salary cap throughout the divisions. We need a thriving domestic game. I don't see football or Union going down the franchising route. In football you can go all the way from the amateur scene right to the Premier League. That is fantastic and how it should be. Every club and its supporters always live in hope and it is that hope that keeps the fans coming through the turnstiles. Look at the Championship next season, it is absolutely pointless and will sound the death knell for a lot of clubs.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

Absolutly crap post IMO. Because the England football team is so succesful? We should definitely copy what they're doing right? The England RU team isn't exactly flying either. RL has always done innovative things and the franchising argument won't be solved for another 6 years IMO.

I just tell it like it is and I am correct. It is so obvious. I watched an U16 game last week between Saddleworth and Pilk Recs and I enjoyed it much more than the pro game. It was great just watching lads enjoying a thoroughly great game.

You obviously know very little about RL and support a team in the promised land.

Are you seriously attributing the failure of the England national team to issues in the Championship and the lack of automatic promotion and relegation?

If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

you havin a laugh? Sinfields a fantastic player, and blamin any discrepency on his part on where is position is?His kicking was woeful as per usual in an England shirt his positional sense was diabolical how many times was sinfield in the middle of an england breakdown in play because of a fumbled opportunity or refusing GEL with any bugger either side of him

With a bit of luck that's the end of Sinfields international career, or at least his career as a lynchpin.

Unlike most on here, I could only get to listen to it on R5 this evening as I was at work (skiving!) and two things struck me from the commentary... We missed a trick trying to outmuscle them in the second half when they upped the pace, and that Sinfield wasn't exactly a superstar and was out of his depth.

you can mutter on about 'being right' all you want, but you're not. IMO anyway.

A bit harsh calling for someone to axed for good after a game you have not even seen.

Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.

Well sinfields not gonna get any better is he?hes deadwood ,kicking is such an important aspect of the game in terms of pressure terretorial advantage attack and when all those hang upon the shoulders of sinfield a player who consistently fails to deliver in an england top well i ask is so harsh to put him out to graze?
