If you are going to reply to a post , at least reply to all of it , like most things , there is more than one aspect to it , but some posters only pick out part of the argument to attempt to ridicule , childish really
I did reply to all of it :?

If it hasn't worked by now, it never will! I'm all for reaching out to a wider audience with our game but not at the expense of historical clubs in the homelands.

No you just replied to the fact it had history , not that it served a purpose , and you made a cheap and unnecessary comparison with referees attire

Don't do that , it makes you look stupid , something you clearly aren't

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

As for the Exiles, as long as enough mugs are willing to pay and watch the game that it turns a profit and that money is used for genuine international development, then I guess there's justification for it existing. If anyone is suggesting that it's been in some way beneficial for England though then they're deluded.

If you think people are mugs for going to watch the best players in SL play against each other in a highly competitive match then you're probably watching the wrong sport lad.

We seem to have been dragged off topic by the troll. Going back to the thread I have done a bit of research and you will see the depth of declared Celts in SL and the Co-op Champs below. It is actually quite impressive and if you accept that i have put Henderson, Brough and a couple of others who have switched allegiences (how on earth does that work after you have picked up a cap?) then you can see there is plenty of quality and strength in depth.

If we were to have two or three weekends where they could play these games (I know that would be a problem as clubs need the revenue and don't like blank weekends) then we could have a triangular comp with England, the Celts and Exiles that would produce some pretty intensive footy, only benefiting all the England and Celtic lads who take part.
