we havent been that great this winter so far but hopefully our win over Bolton (at the death!) should give us some confidence

nearly the same team as we had last year, our fitness is a little better though so should be a real belter. cant wait.

Serghino can you go a day without placing a bet on something or other? :DRUMMER:

:( Sorry pal. Missing about 15 at the moment. From a healthy squad last week everyone who works Saturdays is back working, with several injuries (4 long-term) and quite a few going to the final making matters worse.

We had 14 this afternoon and then a few more pulled out after kopping injuries at training Thursday night. Spent all day looking for players. Gutted, was looking forward to it - most of our experienced team were missing and wanted to field the new lads, and they were raring to go.

Perhaps we should sort a friendly in the new year?

Anyway, apologies to your lads again. I now have to paint the living room tomorrow. :(

Good game, Burtonwood had the lead for 78 minutes of the game after going into half time 18-6 ahead. We stuck to the task in hand, kept going until the final whistle which saw us snatch the win at the end.

Some lad called Hogan scored the match winning try

Latchford Albion 38 - 24 Hindley 'A' (Friendly)

Very late organised game for us, only found out we were playing friday night against a team in Interim Division 1 (and last year in NWC Div 2). We turned up without 4 players - who had to move up to first team - and replaced them with under 18s players, who were fantastic, and also finished the game with 13 fit players. Decent game played in the right spirit and quite impressed with us as a new team fighting back from 24-0 early in first half to 30-24 with ten minutes to go. Then fitness told and we let in 2 very soft tries right at the death.

Burtonwood next week, cant wait.
