If he had just made the mistake he might have dealt with it after a while, but I think having to stand on the touch line in front of that stand for the rest of the match, listening to those chants haunted his dreams and made sure he was irreparably scarred for life.

A couple of years ago Dave Halley turned his back on Wales as he felt he was in contention for an England call-up, and now he's playing for Dudley Hill.
