Amelia and Misha are the only two people on the show who are properly marketable to fit into the mainstream right now.
Solo guys have, historically, always struggled to make an impact (see Leon and Joe) and I don't see anything in Craig and Marcus to buck this trend. Janet will probably just go the same way that Diana Vickers went ie into obscurity.

I actually thought Amelia sang really well on Saturday, probably one of the best performances of the series. She never should have been kicked off in the first place and I hope she goes on to win the whole thing.

This entire series has been nothing short of a disaster though in my opinion. If Amelia did end up going on to win, it would make the whole process a bit of a joke really, considering how she's missed a good 5 weeks' worth of live shows!

Probably due to the whole of Ireland voting for her, as happened with Jedwood

Talent isn't anything to do with it this year it seems.

Misha B is guaranteed a final spot and has been for weeks. They decided early on that she's marketable and have protected her throughout. They must be gutted that everyone hates her and she's always in the bottom 2.

Kitty, for all her weirdness, is a decent singer, with more vocal ability than most pop stars that are around now.

Craig is okay, nothing more, Marcus is really, really boring.

Janet has fallen to pieces over the last few weeks but could perhaps have a decent album if she stuck firmly to ballads.

Little Mix or whatever they are called are appalling as well. Another act they've decided can fill a spot in the market and earn Simon some cash. But how can you have a girl band when they can't sing collectively and are all minging? It doesn't work. Terrible performances every week from them, although to be fair they've got the worst possible mentor.

Amelia was the best of the bunch and could win it, but I agree it is ridiculous that she's missed five weeks of eliminators. As was making up the numbers of a made up band of failure single acts when one left.

Misha B is this years big black soul diva, and rich voice she has, but beyond that she has produced nothing special. I was surprised that in their introductory "duet" Amelia was not outsung by her.

The rest of them are mediocre at best, and the show in its present format may be killing itself off. I feel sorriest for Janet, who does actually have an interesting and different voice, but it is a voice which isn't meant to rock the building or do Metallica covers. But if they stick with the concept that what they want is someone who can scrape together enough votes in singing any style of 30-40 year old karaoke songs to not get knocked out then someone as patently limited and pointless as Craig could even win, and then they may as well call it a draw.

Bejesus. Have people not got ears?

Actually, The Irish couldn't vote in Jedward's series due to phone competition regulations. Irish voting returned from last year. So I guess the rest of the Great British Public should take the blame for keeping them in...

>cough< Rhydian, Olly, Matt Cardle?

To be honest, despite never having won, the groups have probably enjoyed the most success. G4 went massive until they split, and JLS are the hottest X Factor property now, followed by Jedward. >snigger<.

Journey South and Same Difference had briefer but successful careers too, certainly longer than say, Joe.

Not even close to the best of the series. The verse started off well, it should have picked up and gone to another level for the chorus... but it didn't, it went completely flat and dull. Agreed that she shouldn't have been kicked off in week 1, but at that time Janet was still pulling the wool over people's eyes and fooling judges into thinking she could sing, Misha and Sophie gave decent performances too. One week's live performance wasn't enough to gauge a proper opinion. Likewise Jonjo unlucky to have a bad week there, and James Michael given the presence of X Factor's worst ever finalist, Frankie. 2Shoes were definitely the best of the groups, but a terrible song choice for week 1 and the amazing lipstick smear from hell didn't help their cause any. That and Tulisa didn't put them together like the rest of the groups. Oh, and the pregnancy. :D

Whilst I think you may have a point, Tulisa and Louis surely would have known better than to tip the boat with their bullying/bitchiness comments a few weeks ago?

I disagree with that. They're the best singers in the competition.

Ah, like Leona Lewis, then, a one trick pony.

I said from the off the groups had no chance. Their Halloween performance was probably their best to date, but even that wasn't a show-stopper.

Yes, if you take away Kitty, Craig, Marcus and Misha.

It would be interesting if she was 6 years old, but as it is, she's another Ellie Goulding, only crapper. Seriously, there isn't a redeeming quality about her voice at all.

Really surprised we never got to see any of the other acts who may have been recalled to the show waiting backstage nervously on Saturday. No, really I am.

Anyone would think none of them were even in the building, despite the public vote not having closed.

You saw the Twitter feed announcing the result before the voting had closed too then :D

Its amazing that so many people continue to be scammed in this way.
